Trump aiming to bounce back
Share:

England’s Judd Trump will be back in action on Monday as he prepares to bounce back from his China Championship disappointment by winning the European Masters. The 29-year-old will have to wait until the evening session before he can take on Martin O’Donnell in Belgium.

The pair will meet in the main arena just days after Trump was knocked out of the China Championship in the quarter-finals by John Higgins. A 5-3 derailed his progress at the start of the season but he remains the heavy favourite to beat O’ Donnell.

Trump is 3.80 to win 4-0, while a shock victory for O’Donnell is priced as high as 4.75.

Wales’ Duane Jones is also in action and he faces a tough battle against Jack Lisowski. Jones is out of form coming into the contest and he is the 6.50 outsider ahead of Monday’s action. A closer match is expected between English pair Peter Lines and Paul Davison.

The former is 1.70 to win and he comes into the game in decent form. He reached the semi-finals of the Paul Hunter Classic while also qualifying for the Indian Open in August. Davison is a slight outsider at 2.10, while Yuan Sijun is 2.50 to overcome Welshman Ryan Day. Day is 1.50 to win due to his superior experience at a higher level.

Two more games take place on Monday night, with China’s Zhang Anda set to meet Switzerland’s Alexander Ursenbacher. Scottish duo Chris Totten and Anthony McGill will also meet, with the former 7.00 outsider.
