Judd Trump threw away a 4-0 lead to end his season in disaster as he was beaten 10-8 by Rory Mcleod.

Tournament favourite trump began in commanding fashion by roaring into a 4-0 lead but a succession of unforced errors by Trump allowed Mcleod to reel off the next 5 frames and end the session 5-4 down.

The first 4 frames of the evening session were shared and the score was now 7-6 to Mcleod at the interval.

after the interval the next to frames were shared to make the score 8-7 Mcleod and it was the outsider who held his nerve to win 2 of the next 3 frames and land the shock of the tournament so far…..

Neil Robertson leads Thailand’s Noppon Saengkham 8-1 in a dominant first session for the Aussie…

Robertson knocked in breaks of 61,76,77 and 113 to storm 8-1 clear of crucible debutant Noppon Saengkham and leave the Thai star a mountain to climb.

Former World Champion Dott puts captain in his place…

2006 world champion Graeme Dott rolled back the years with a typically gritty performance to book a last 16 place after a stunning 10-7 victory over Allister Carter.

Chinese star Guodong too hot for Ryan Day…

Former Shanghai master’s Finalist Xiao Guodong won his first ever match at the crucible with a convincing 10-4 victory over Ryan day.

Guodong who lead 6-3 from the first session wasted little time wrapping up the four further frames he needed for victory as he stroked in breaks of 67 and 78 and will now face reigning world champion and world number one Mark Selby in the last 16.
