Neil Robertson happy with his game
Share:

Neil Robertson insists he is feeling good about his game after booking his place in the semi-finals of the Hong Kong Masters on Thursday. The Australian showed his best form for many months as he overcame reigning world champion Mark Selby at the star-studded event. Robertson charged into a 3-1 lead at one point and was looking to kick on after breaks of 57 and 56.

Selby showed his class to respond and level the match at 3-3 but Robertson found another level and won the seventh frame on the colours. He eventually sealed a 5-3 victory after a run of 108 and the 35-year-old believes his game is in good shape going into the weekend. Robertson will play Marco Fu in the final four on Saturday and the Melbourne-born star is adamant his game is in better shape than it was when they met in the World Championships.

He told World Snooker: “At this stage of the season no one really knows who is playing well. I put Mark under a lot of pressure with my long potting and I punished him for his mistakes. “My game is in much better shape than it was when I played Marco at the World Championship. It will be interesting to see how he copes with the home crowd. If I can start well and play good snooker then hopefully I can get some of the crowd on my side.” Robertson is the 4/5 favourite going into the match, while Fu can be backed at odds of Evs with Dafabet.
